Lujayn (Lulu) is a Anahana writer and editor as well as a soon to be a graduate of the M.Ed. in Developmental Psychology and Education program at OISE, University of Toronto. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from The American University in Cairo, with a double minor in Anthropology and Educational Studies.
Beyond her academic pursuits in psychology and psychotherapy, Lujayn is passionate about a range of activities that enrich her life. She has a keen interest in writing and enjoys baking, coffee-making, and exercising.
Her current focus is on exploring body movements in various forms, from the simplicity of walking to the discipline of yoga. Lujayn has been delving into different yoga styles, including Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, and is also intrigued by Pilates, appreciating its emphasis on core strength and muscle lengthening.

Lujayn's professional journey includes a 10-month tenure as a student counselor at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait, where she guided students through their academic endeavors.
Additionally, she has over four years of experience as an English editor and social media manager, collaborating with various magazines.
During her undergraduate studies, Lujayn combined her passion for psychology and education by working with refugees, serving as a teaching assistant, and actively raising awareness about mental health issues.
